Gospel Campaign in Uige, Angola

Collaboration is a crucial part of the “Decade of Double Harvest” vision. In Uige, Angola in July, Christ for all Nations was thrilled to partner with Evangelist Randy Roberts (Radical Walk), who graduated from the first CfaN Evangelism Bootcamp only five years ago. Now see what the Lord has done!

Evangelist Randy Roberts preached to over 250,000 over four nights – this was the final night.

The Lord said, “Check again”

Evangelist Roberts shared: “When I first knew we were coming back to Angola this year, I looked at the map and thought God showed me three places. Two I knew nothing about, and one I had heard of and wanted to go to because it was a bigger city.

When I came here in January and February and started to meet with church leaders, I couldn’t get peace about the bigger city and so I asked the Lord about it. I heard just two words: “check again”. So, I went back to the map of Angola and began to look, and as I did, He highlighted a place I had never heard of: Uige. As I researched it, I found it is basically a huge farming community that feeds the country. The more I looked, the more I had peace about coming here.

Thinking on the phrase “check again,” I remembered the passage in 1 Kings 18, where Elijah says that the drought of three-plus years is over. He goes up on a mountain to pray and directs his servant to go look for the rain. When he doesn’t see it, Elijah instructs him to “check again” for the rain seven times – and then there was an abundance of rain.

There had been a drought in Uige for more than three years. Not a drought of natural rain, but of the rain of the Holy Spirit, unity in the body of Christ and of revival!

I am so glad that my Master told me to “check again,” because God has been faithful. We have seen an abundance of rain in Uige. From the first night, the hunger of the crowd was palpable. Each night the crowd and their hunger for Jesus increased exponentially.”

Shouts of joy: Christina broke a bone in her shoulder a couple years ago.

It was so painful that even raising her voice hurt her, and she could not shout. Today, she arrived in pain feeling sad, but people around her grabbed her hands to pray. She said, “This pain must leave now” and it did. Totally healed, she yelled joyfully with Randy on stage!

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!

A profoundly moving thing happened on the final night. As Randy was about to go on stage, the entire Board of Advisors (the local committee of church leaders who helped put on the campaign) surrounded him. One of them leant in with a serious look and tone and said, “Please, before you preach, tell the people how unified we have become.”

Randy shared: “My heart leapt because I know that if the body of Christ is divided, all those new believers will not receive what they need to properly grow and be effective for the Kingdom. The body of Christ in Uige had never worked together like this before and some were hesitant in the beginning to trust us and one another. You would never know that now, though. The church leadership, men from all different denominations and backgrounds, are now fast friends. It fills my heart with joy to know that not only has the Kingdom of God been greatly expanded, it has also been strengthened.”

Randy conducted a Fire Conference in the mornings, teaching and exhorting local church leaders.
