Gospel Campaign in Malanje, Angola
From 10 - 13 September, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda and Bootcamp graduate Evangelist Randy Roberts will be preaching the Gospel in Malanje, Angola - a region previously unreached by CfaN campaigns.
Day 1 – Malanje, Angola
It’s so good to be back in Africa! Mass campaigns in Africa are the very heart of CfaN, and I could not be happier to be preaching here in Malanje, Angola.
This is my first time preaching in Angola, new territory for CfaN. Angola was closed to the Gospel for decades. I’m sure that’s why there’s such a sense of hunger and anticipation in the people here. In fact, although the campaign only started at 4pm, the volunteer ushers and counselors began pouring on to the field at 2pm, too excited to wait.

Randy is one of the first people to graduate from the CfaN Evangelism Bootcamp six years ago. I’m preaching the first two nights, and then Randy will step up to the plate. We are living in the fulfillment of the vision the Lord gave to ‘multiply and collaborate’ for the harvest!

Favor and Unity
We’ve had amazing favor here, including the government making an exception to let us use this field. This is the first event here that is not a political rally – the governor and officials are 100% behind us.
Day 1 – Malanje, Angola

Day 1 – Malanje, Angola
Gabriel, 14 years old, could not hear anything with his right ear for almost a year.
Onstage after the prayer for the sick, he covered his left ear, and I tested his hearing. I gave him a microphone and told him to repeat what I said, as I walked further and further away on the noisy stage. He was healed.
Day 2 – Malanje, Angola
They stayed in the rain
In the morning, rain started pouring during the Fire Conference, where local church leaders are taught and encouraged. But the people, hungry for more of God, stayed through the downpour. The rain cleared just in time for the evening meeting.
Day 2 – Melanja, Angola
Marcelina was only eight years old when she fell off a wall, permanently injuring her legs.
From then on, she lived with constant, tormenting pain. She told me she had traveled to Congo for treatment, but the doctors could not help her. And she had to take painkillers every night, just to be able to sleep. Tonight, she came to testify that Jesus had healed her completely. For the first time since she was a little girl, the pain that tortured her was gone! She joyfully gave Jesus all the glory on stage.
Day 3 – Malanje, Angola
Lelecia could hardly speak because she was crying so much.
She had been suffering from asthma for several months. On Night Three, after receiving prayer, she was healed. She came to testify today after realizing that she was no longer experiencing any problems. She ran back and forth across the stage and then took a deep breath. She felt well and testified that the asthma was no longer there.
Day 4 – Malanje, Angola
Marcelina had a tumor on his leg
He was unable to go to school for the past week because he couldn’t walk. On night three, Evangelist Randy prayed specifically against tumors. When Marcelina and his mother went back home, they realized the tumor was gone. Marcelina reminded his mother that the evangelist had prayed for tumors, so today, they came to testify. Evangelist Randy asked if Marcelina wanted to run with him, and he ran across the stage back and forth.

Welcomed by the local churches
Evangelist Randy Roberts arrived in Malanje and was greeted by the board of advisors and the executive committee, influential church leaders who are committed to bringing this campaign to fruition. Then he was welcomed by the vice-governor and other city officals.

Pastors organized motorcycles and announcement trucks to make noise announcing that the evangelist has arrived, and that the campaign will finally start on Thursday after months of preparation. Images cannot express the joyful noise that resounded in the city streets!

Malanje is buzzing with excitement!
All everyone can talk about is the upcoming Gospel Campaign happening next week. The locals say there is more publicity than the city has ever seen before, even for elections. This Saturday, there will be a Youth Conference. And on Sunday, a Jesus March through the city, followed by the field dedication.
