Quelimane, Mozambique
CfaN Bootcamp graduate Evangelist Randy Roberts is preaching for four nights in Quelimane, Mozambique, a region previously unreached by other CfaN Gospel Campaigns.
Day 4 – Quelimane, Mozambique
On to the next….
From Evangelist Randy Roberts:
As I look at the pictures and think about the salvations and all of the miracles that God has allowed us to be a part of it is easy to let out a big sigh and ease up on my assignment.
As I began to do that this morning the Lord brought to my remembrance our first big gospel campaign in Juba South Sudan. We had seen God do a mighty work and draw 100,000 people to the field on the last night. I was in a bit of shock to tell you the truth. lol when we got back to the hotel Peter Vandenberg, who was holding my hand through all of it, asked me to come to his room. I thought we were going to have a party. HA!
When I got there, we looked at each other, laughed and breathed a sigh of relief. You see, this idea of CfaN partnering with someone in doing a gospel campaign was brand new and not everyone was convinced it would work. After we rejoiced over this, Peter got a bit quiet and serious, which is not necessarily his normal demeanor, and I was a bit concerned.
Then he told me this, “we have seen God do a mighty work here and tonight we rejoice (pause for effect), but tomorrow we are on to the next.” Then he began to explain to me that while we had been a part of a great work and it would be easy to rest on our laurels, that is not our job. Our job is not to look back, but to move forward into the next harvest field.
This has been a great lesson for me, and today a great reminder, that while what we do may at times be entertaining, it is not entertainment. We are not a band on tour, we are taking ground from the enemy and expanding the kingdom of God! We are helping to change peoples’ eternities!
If I spend too much time looking back, I can lose sight of what my assignment is, TO TAKE GROUND. So today I rejoice, but tomorrow it is on to the next!
Day 3 – Quelimane, Mozambique
Since 2005, Victoria couldn’t see well, and over time her vision got worse. She couldn’t see faces clearly, and people often thought she was ignoring them when they waved, when in reality, she simply couldn’t see them.

She was unable to read without glasses. But on Night Three, after prayer, Victoria opened her eyes and began to jump with joy – she could see clearly! She said, “Today is the best day of my life!”
Day 3 – Quelimane, Mozambique
For 12 years, Lora was unable to sleep. Whenever she laid down in bed, she would wake up and somehow end up on the floor and couldn't sleep at all.

But last night, she came to the gospel campaign and received prayer – and something changed. For the first time in 12 years, Lora slept peacefully through the entire night. She was even woken up by the rooster in the morning and was shocked – she had slept 8 hours straight!
Day 1 – Quelimane, Mozambique
Standing on the shoulders of giants
Evangelist Randy Roberts shared:
When the Lord first told me to come to Mozambique in 2021 and I began to research cities I wanted to come to Quelimane because I found out it was the farthest point that the great missionary David Livingstone came.
As I looked out over the crowd last night I thought of a quote from brother Livingstone, “And although I see few results, future missionaries will see conversions following every sermon. May they not forget the pioneers who worked in the thick gloom with few rays to cheer, except such as flow from faith in the precious promises of God's Word.”
Now sitting in my room preparing to go preach this glorious Gospel that I know tens of thousands will respond to I can’t help but think that when brother Livingstone was here 200 years ago God knew He would send us here this week to “see conversions following every sermon.”
I have not forgotten him or others that I have been given the great privilege of following.
We may be seeing farther than brother Livingstone did, but that’s only because we are truly “standing on the shoulders of giants”.
