A Call to Prayer
Not long ago, CfaN leaders gathered for our annual Planning Meeting. As you can imagine, there’s a lot to discuss and work on when we get together like this. Top of the agenda are big decisions with eternal implications. Where do we feel the Lord is calling us to hold the next Gospel Campaigns in Africa? Where do we need to send people to scout new locations and connect with local churches? How should we best allocate the resources the Lord has provided?
Add to these the many evangelism trainings happening, from the School of Ministry to Fire Camps all over the world, the continued growth of the Evangelism Alliance and so on – there are many areas needing our attention. So, it’s an extremely busy, focused time. We need to make every minute count.
But despite that time pressure, do you know how we started each day? We began with two hours of worship, prayer and teaching from the Word of God, for the whole team. Because we want our hearts and minds firmly focused on our Lord Jesus before the work begins.
We need to be on our knees in the fear of the Lord, submitted to His Lordship.
That time in prayer is crucial. And we certainly don’t stop praying when the planning is done! Prayer is an integral, daily priority for us at CfaN.
A Call to Prayer
Today, I want to invite you to join our CfaN Germany team – as well as over 50 School of Ministry students – for an evening prayer meeting on Saturday 11 April at 7pm.
Prayer Meeting Live
Saturday 11 April
7pm
I’m trusting the Lord to raise up many intercessors who will stand in the gap for CfaN. Prayer warriors, we need you! James 5:16 says, “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” What an assurance! What a promise!
Why am I calling on you to join us in prayer? Because we are not in this mission alone. As a partner of this ministry, this is your mission, too. You have an effective, supernatural role to play.
Let me share with you some areas we would deeply value you praying into with us.
Fruit That Remains – Thailand
We are seeing doors open to the Gospel in South East Asia in such a remarkable way, it can only be God in action. We’re seizing this opportunity with both hands. I’m on my way to preach there in Ubon Ratchathani myself next week. Teams of CfaN-trained evangelists have been in the nation since January already. They’ve conducted open-air crusades and hundreds of outreaches and seen thousands of responses to the Gospel. I’ll tell you a lot more about that in my next letter!
This is new territory. I don’t just mean it’s new for CfaN. We’re preaching to people who, by and large, have never heard the Gospel before. We’re praying:
- that the precious seed of the Gospel will take root and grow
- for the local churches to increase in unity, strength and boldness (the Body of Christ is small and fragmented in this Buddhist nation)
- for God to raise up leaders to shepherd the new Christians faithfully
Upcoming Gospel Campaigns
This year, we have Gospel Campaigns planned in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Thailand, Chile and the Czech Republic. We’re praying for:
- God’s hand over all the preparations
- protection for our team members
- provision of the finances needed to carry these campaigns out, before, during and after the campaigns
- provision of funds to print follow-up booklets – we need a lot!
Training a million evangelists in Africa
Beginning with a big Fire Conference in Nairobi, Kenya – with evangelists coming from all over Africa – we are starting to train African evangelists to flood their nations with the Gospel. We’re praying:
- for grace and favor with the authorities as we seek the right venue and dates
- for the Body of Christ to unite to see their nations reached for Jesus
- that the Lord will prepare the hearts of men and women that He’s calling to be evangelists
A New Generation of Partners
I’ve shared with you that many of our dear partners, who stood side-by-side with us for decades, have gone home to the Lord. We’re praying:
- for the Lord to send a new generation of faithful partners to stand with us financially
- that our partners would increase in line with the increase of the harvest
We’re praying for you, too
During the prayer meeting, one group will be praying continually and specifically for prayer requests from our partners. We want to agree with you in faith for any area of your life that you’re crying out to the Lord for. There are two ways you can send your prayer requests in. You can go to our website and fill in the form – please send your prayer request before midday on Friday 10 April.
Or you can share your prayer request in the live chat on YouTube during the prayer meeting. Please share with your first name only, to protect your privacy.
We want to serve you in prayer and lift your requests to the Lord, with full expectation and thanksgiving for His answers and intervention in your life.
We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. – Thessalonians 1:2-3
Together with you for the Gospel,
Evangelist Daniel Kolenda
(and the CfaN team worldwide)
