Wake Up To God's Will
Think about this: Jesus died on the cross more than 2,000 years ago and completed the work of salvation “once for all.” So why doesn’t He just rapture all of us out of this world so we can be with Him? One man told me that we are all just waiting for Jesus to build our mansions in heaven. I thought to myself, “It took Him only six days to create the entire universe. Can your mansion really be that difficult?”
If I were that guy and I thought my mansion in heaven was the only thing delaying the coming of the Lord, I’d be praying, “Lord, forget the mansion. Just come and get me out of here!” And another thing – why wouldn’t the all-knowing God have thought ahead and had those mansions prepared ahead of time? There is obviously something else going on here.
Jesus obviously didn’t die on the cross just to get us to Heaven. He died to redeem us for a purpose in this world.
Paul told Timothy, that it was God, “Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began” (2 Tim. 1:9). That means that before you were born, even before the universe was made God had a purpose for you to fulfill! Do you know yours? My friend, it’s time to wake up to God’s will for your life.
